Horse & Rider Senior Portraits | Spring Branch,TX

I enjoyed getting to photograph Madeline’s Senior Portraits with her two very special horses. We started out with Leo, her jumper, at Twisted Oak Farm in Bulverde which is just South of Spring Branch. This was my second visit to Claudia’s barn and I just adore this barn, it is absolutely gorgeous! I was there last fall for Natalya’s Senior Portraits.

One of my favorite things to do is to watch for the tiny little things my clients do with their horses when nobody is watching and try to get those moments on camera. Madeline had a way that she would bop her horses on their nose with their pointer finger when she admired them and I just adore this photo of her admiring Leo and his handsomeness.

Typically when my clients have multiple horses we spend time photographing each horse individually and then we also photograph their horses together. This gives us time to capture each horse’s personality individually and the entire family together. At the end of Senior Sessions we also try to grab a few individual photos of the senior by themselves, and often times seniors bring along a shirt from their college for that “traditional” senior picture.
