Quincy, Worth Quoting, is a beautiful 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding ridden by Audrey Quinn, who rides at Penny Leigh LLC.
Quincy is the rare and wonderful combination of show-ring presence and total reliability. He’s got the elegance and talent of a top-tier hunter, with the heart and brain of a schoolmaster saint. Around the barn, he’s a clown and a total snuggle bug—always bringing smiles to everyone around him.

Their story started during the Covid era, when Audrey’s large green pony sustained an injury. While rehabbing her pony, a generous barn friend offered Quincy as a way to keep Audrey in the saddle. At the time, she had only ever ridden ponies, but Quincy—smallish, kind, and endlessly honest—was a perfect fit.
In a twist of fate, that same friend had a tiny daughter riding a pony that was just a bit too tricky for her. Kristin and Audrey happened to have a tried-and-true pony coming off lease in Florida—one that would be perfect for rebuilding confidence. So the families made a swap, and eventually, each of them ended up owning the other’s animal. Now, they’re just one big family with a barn full of love and laughter.
Quincy has been with Audrey for nearly four years now, though not all “officially.” In that time, he’s taken her from the 2’6″ to the 3’3″ seamlessly. Whether he’s at a local Virginia show, Junior Hunter Finals, or under the bright lights of WEC, Quincy is the same steady, trustworthy partner every time. No matter the ring, the weather, or the height—he’s ready.

His favorite treat? Quincy has never met a treat he didn’t like.
Audrey’s mom, Kristin, grew up riding, teaching, and managing barns into her 20s. These days, she gets to watch Audrey and Quincy shine from the sidelines—a full-circle moment filled with pride.
