Austin Equine Photography | Amy the American Warmblood
Amy, Amity, is an American Warmblood Mare. Her sire is Argo a Danish OLD/TB by Aslan, his dam is Vienna a Hanoverian. Amy was bred by her owner Jan Colley of Lost Ridge Farm.
Amy is currently offered for Sale. Contact Jennifer Jarvis of Galloping Springs Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas for more information.
Amy is a love bug, and tends to be full of herself (in a good way). Jan, Amy’s owner, has sat on her once, and she was absolutely perfect! Jennifer Jarvis of Galloping Springs Ranch has started her in dressage and she is currently schooling Training and First Level.
Since Amy was bred by Jan they have been together since the very beginning, the pair plans on showing in 2017 so you better keep an eye out for this pair!
Jan has done everything from barrel racing to saddle seat, and even dressage in her lifetime of riding. When Jan met Jennifer years ago, Jennifer’s daughter Ashley was just 8 years old and still showing her Thoroughbred TimTam at a dressage show.
Jan’s favorite memory of Amy is when she was just a couple months old, she showed her jumping prowess by clearing the 4ft corral fence. Yikes! I can only imaging the feeling Jan had each and every time she went outside to find her precious foal running around. Apparently, she did this several times and would explore and run around, causing her poor dam fits. It sounds like she has always been independent and self-assured!
