This equestrian engagement session is absolute perfection, and Cramer Quarter Horses in Needville, TX was a picture perfect backdrop for this session. What some of you may not know, is that I spent the first 5 years of my photography business as primarily a wedding photographer in the Houston area. When I launched into the equine photography world I could not wait to start doing more engagement sessions and bridal portrait sessions with horses, so naturally when Helen called I was so incredibly excited to photograph her engagement session.
Helen and David were the absolute best and of course her horse Cole was a rockstar for the session. I think Cole was even a little concerned as to why his mom was paying more attention to David at times than to him. One of my favorite pictures was when Helen and David were kissing, and Cole was looking over David’s shoulder like, “Hey Mom, I’m back here!”
I also have to give a huge shout out to the ever so amazing Rob Banks for doing such a fabulous job braiding Cole’s mane.
