WRIGLEY | 14 YEAR-OLD DUTCH WARMBLOOD | BOERNE, TX
Wrigley is a Dutch Warmblood Gelding. He is trained by Rachel Gray at Gray’s Equine in Sisterdale, TX.
Wrigley is a beautiful bay gelding, he has three charming white socks that add an extra touch of personality to his appearance, along with a striking white blaze on his face.
But Wrigley’s unique characteristics go far beyond just his physical appearance. He has a personality that can light up any room, or in this case, any stable. He is friendly, gentle, and loyal, and has a heart of gold. For Lilly, Wrigley is not just a horse, but a best friend. They share a special bond built on trust and respect, which makes every ride and every moment spent together truly memorable.
Lilly, Wrigley’s loving owner, was fortunate to have stumbled upon Wrigley through the help of Rachel Gray. Rachel, a kind-hearted individual, had found Wrigley and knew that he would make the perfect companion for someone. Rachel believed that Lilly would be a great fit for Wrigley and introduced the two.
Wrigley, the lovable bay gelding, has a sweet tooth for treats with icing from Snacks Fifth Avenue. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a regular day, Wrigley gets excited at the mere sight of these delicious treats. His eyes light up with joy as he savors every bite, relishing in the taste of the icing that he loves so much.
Wrigley has accomplished some impressive feats in his show-jumping career. In 2022, he was awarded the honor of Reserve Champion at the prestigious Pin Oak competition, a testament to his skills and hard work. Wrigley’s performance was nothing short of spectacular, leaving judges and spectators alike in awe of his agility and grace. But Wrigley didn’t stop there. He went on to become a Champion at the HIPICO Santa Fe show, showcasing his talent and determination once again. His flawless execution and effortless jumps earned him the admiration of the crowd and the respect of his competitors.
Lilly’s love for horses began at a young age and has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. Her fascination with these majestic animals was sparked by stories she heard and pictures she saw in books. As she grew older, Lilly’s passion for horses only intensified.
Lilly’s favorite memory with Wrigley is a testament to their strong bond and the power of resilience. During a show jumping competition in Santa Fe, Lilly took a fall during her first round. But with Wrigley by her side, she didn’t let that setback dampen her spirits. Instead, they rallied together and went on to win the Grand Championship, a truly remarkable achievement. Their success in the under saddle flat class is a testament to the hard work and dedication that they have both put into their training. For Lilly, this memory is a symbol of the trust, companionship, and resilience that she shares with Wrigley. It’s a moment that she will always cherish and remember fondly.
