I think I have found a new love, Horse & Rider portraits in the snow! Seriously, they are the best, although they are cold. It is so worth it. When I headed out to the barn for Chelsea’s Horse & Rider portraits in the snow, I also brought along an entire wardrobe so that we could find the perfect clothes for her pictures. I keep a collection of dresses, tulle skirts, and other accessories on had for my clients to use for their pictures. For Chelsea’s pictures we ended up pairing one of my favorite BHLDN dresses, with a denim button down shirt since we were out in below freezing temperatures. This also allowed her to bundle up with extra layers under the dress to help keep her warm.
I can not wait to travel to more locations in 2018 and hopefully photograph many more Horse & Rider portrait sessions in the snow. I have already started dreaming up new ideas and the perfect winter wonderland looks for future snow day Horse & Rider Portraits.
