Wellington Florida Equine Photographer | Mare & Foal Pair
Milli, Wendemillion, is an Oldenberg Mare, she currently has a 1/2 Welsh foal at her side named Cooper, Signature Move TSH. Milli is by a stallion named Maverick RF, he was by Avalon Equines Mannhattan and out of a Vosmaer/ Saluut dam, he was a full brother to Avalons fabulous broodmare Macy’s Rainbow and the GP dressage mare Maude RF. Her dam was a huge and correct 17.2hh mare by Wendesohn out of a Electus mare. Her lines are full of multi-talented producers of both GP dressage and jumping horses, and she is showing to be a fabulous producer herself. Milli was bred by Michele Lyn. Her 2017 Colt Cooper is by the amazing National Champion, and 2016 Sire of the Year, Clanfair Signature LOM/ LOM/ AOE. This Welsh Pony stallion has not only had an amazing show career but is also already producing champions, Cooper will be no exception.
The pair is owned by Heather McInerney of Timeless Sport Horses in Kaufman,TX.
Milli had a tough start to her life. She was a twin and had to wear leg braces when she was a foal. She and her dam both survived and she had a full brother that showed everything that she was genetically. Physically her growth was stunted and her legs deviated from the crowded womb. That didn’t stop her though, she is a fighter. Despite her “funky” legs she is a great mover, she has a ton of self carriage and suspension. She was dearly loved by her former owner Michele.
Although Milli is an exceptional mover despite her difficult start to live, she is now retired as a broodmare which is her true calling in life. Heather says that she is an amazing mom. Heather first found he on Facebook and went to get her in May of 2014. She has a long complicated story, and wasn’t in the best circumstance. Due to that her attitude reflected that. She could only be touched if she was around food, without food it was difficult to get near her. The people at the farm were deathly afraid of her, and Heather had to do a lot of work.
Heather has spent the past few years pouring lots of love and care into Milli, and has come a long way with her.
“Now Milli can have just about anything done with her without kicking or biting. She has found her calling being a broodmare, im so glad that i gave her a chance!”
When I asked Heather to describe her in one word she said, “Chestnut Mare,” well thats technically two but I think that any person that has ever owned a red headed mare knows exactly what Heather means. There is something super special about those Chestnut Mares.
This red headed girl will do just about anything for Peppermints.
“With how she started out it was amazing for me to be able to help her foal out and be around her and her baby. She is a protective mom and can be skeptical, but she now knows that we wont hurt her or her foal. Her first foal is by Ampere and is a yearling now, she is going to make a fabulous young dressage prospect for someone! Her second foal is extremely fancy as well and I look forward to seeing him mature!”
I couldn’t resist ending this one with a big yawn, because lets be honest, being a Momma is hard work.
