Now that you have booked your session it’t time to figure out what to wear to your session! This is my favorite part of the process and I love helping clients pick the perfect outfit. Feel free to send me your ideas if you need help choosing the perfect outfit. I am going to include a few different ideas for what to wear below.
I always recommend professional hair and makeup for your portraits! It can make all of the difference in making sure you look and feel picture ready. If you are in the Houston area I can send you my list of recommended hair and makeup artists.
Look #1: Lets Get Dressed Up
This is my personal favorite. Put on a gorgeous dress and get all dolled up for your portraits with your horse. My favorite place to find a dress is Rent the Runway. There is something so gorgeous about a girl in a beautiful dress in the middle of an open field or even in the forest with her majestic horse. Add some florals on your horse’s bridle, some garland around their neck, or even a floral crown for yourself if you want something a little extra. Look #2: Equestrian Style
This is the perfect timeless look. Put on your best riding clothes and give them a high fashion twist! Leave off the stock tie, wear your favorite fashion belt, or even put on a colorful shirt. I absolutely adore this look, not only is it timeless but it is elegant and there are so many awesome ways to incorporate your own style and personality into this look. Look #3: Do Your Thing
I love my clients so incredibly much, because each and every one of you are so unique. This category is for you. Are you not too sure about wearing a big fancy dress? Thats totally ok. I encourage you to step outside of your box and wear something fun, different, something that you would wear in your day to day life! You never know, you may just end up falling in love with a new look. The most important thing about your pictures is that you look and feel amazing and confident in what you are wearing.
