Vicomte Breil “Rico” | Tally Ho Farm The Woodlands,TX Horses

Vicomte Breil is owned by Charli and his friends call him Rico. Rico is a 12-year-old Selle Français. The pair trains with Kim and Katie Cox and Sheridan Tunche at Tally Ho Farm in Conroe, TX.

Rico is a pretty bay gelding with a blaze and a white stocking on his left hind leg. He was imported from France and comes from a long line of accomplished jumpers. Charli’s favorite memory of Rico is doing their first 1.30-1.35 classic and winning! They bought Rico thinking he was only going to be a low junior horse(1.20m), he had never competed in anything above 1.20 before they had bought him. In less than a year, he took me, a kid who was losing confidence and could not make it around a .85m classes with a horse who also did not have confidence in herself, to going around our first 1.25m, 1.30m, and 1.35m classic. Charli went into the ring with no expectations as she was competing against Grand Prix riders. However, after she made it around and to the jump-off, her only goal was to have fun. She landed off the last jump and was filled with excitement knowing they had just gone double clear! She knew Rico was extraordinary the day they bought him but he made that classic look easy peasy.

Charli met Rico and immediately knew he was the one for her. She had tried about 6 different horses at that point and none of them clicked with her as he did. He is a goofy boy who loves bananas, Twizzlers, and winning. He is a happy horse who always makes those around him smile.

Savannah is 14 years old and a freshman doing some college-level classes. She started riding when she was 4 years old. She had told her mom she wanted to ride and that’s when she got started. The longest break I have taken from riding is 2 weeks. Her favorite thing about owning horses is discovering more and more about them. She loves developing a bond with all of her horses and finding out more about their personality by the day.
