Just Cause is a 16-year-old Dutch Warmblood who resides in Bulverde, TX and goes by “Beau.” He is owned and cared for by Harper. The dynamic duo trains at Twisted Oak Farm with Johnny & Claudia Conn.
Beau is a handsome dark bay gelding with a star on his forehead and a back right sock. He is by Caricello and out of She. He is an incredible partner to Harper and she considers him “perfect.” One of her favorite memories of him is their win at their first horse show in Katy, TX. She was jumping 2’0″ and it was the first time Beau and she would be competing together. She wasn’t sure what to expect but was ecstatic when they walked away with first place!
Harper met Beau in July of 2020. Her trainer, Claudia, found him at a barn in North Texas. It was love at first ride and they have only continued to improve. He is a barn favorite and has a funny personality. Whenever he’s taken out of his stall and into the crossties he lefts his upper lip. His favorite treats are paddock cakes and he won reserve champion for the horse of the year in 2020 for 2’6″.
Harper began taking riding lessons when she was 7. Beau is her first horse and she loves that she’s the only one that rides him and that he belongs to her. He takes good care of her and she looks forward to many more victories in their partnership.
Did you know that horses are actually very good swimmers? Swimming is often used for therapy and muscle strengthening for horses just as it is for people.
