Texas Horse Portraits | Maja the Columbian Warmblood
Maja, La Maja, is a Columbian Warmblood Mare. Her sire is Faizan, her dam is Seiba. She lives in Houston, Texas.
Maja is Amy’s dressage schoolmaster. She is very patient and expects to be asked perfectly for every movement or she will not do it, in true schoolmaster form. She is great for teaching riders the correct way to ask for things. She loves to have her withers scratched and will even scratch your back at the same time you scratch hers.
Two years ago Amy went to florida and met Maja and her owner, fast forward two years her owner had to move to Russia and Maja ended up at Windy Knoll Farm in Magnolia. Amy tried her out and fell in love instantly! Amy describes her as “elegant.” Surprisingly enough her favorite treats are peanuts.
Over the years Maja has won several classes and has trained through Grand Prix.
Amy really enjoys all of the friends she has made along the way having horses, and she has remained friends with many of the past owners of horses she has purchased.
