Texas Equine Photographer | Wally the Bay
Wally was bred in Europe and came over as a 6 year old and is now kept at his owner’s, Amy’s, barn in Hempstead.
Waldo is truly like a giant puppy dog that is very calm and sweet natured. He has blood lines that go back to Landgraf 1. Waldo was in training with Fran Kehr and Pam Goodrich up until last year when he had to be retired. He was incredibly confused when we first put the bridle on him, I could tell he was thinking, “are you going to put me to work?”
Amy explains a bit about Wally, “I found Wally in Georgia at a eventing barn. My friend was going to try him out at Chat Hills Show Grounds and I ended up trying him out with a broken arm! Best ride I ever had. So I bought him. He was always my steady eddy! We had to retire him last year due to severe arthritis in his neck.”
Amy says the best word to describe Wally with is ‘sweet’ and that his favorite snack is bananas. Her favorite thing about horses is what she learns from them and encourages others to do the same!
Make sure you go check out some of Amy’s other horses that were also on the blog.
