GYPSY’S ROAMING TROUBADOUR | 9-YEAR-OLD SADDLEBRED | SPRING, TX
Meet Gypsy, the 9-year-old Saddlebred who captures everyone’s heart at Vantage Point Farm in Spring, TX. With his striking chestnut coat and distinctive white blaze, Gypsy is a standout both in the barn and in the show ring. He trains under the expert guidance of May Chadick, known for her exceptional training methods and dedication to her horses.
Gypsy’s owner, Dana Croft, shares the heartwarming story of how they came to own him. May scouted Gypsy for the Croft family, and they purchased him at the end of December 2023. He arrived at the barn in January, just in time to surprise Dana’s daughter with her very first horse. “Surprising our daughter with her first horse was an unforgettable moment,” Dana recalls. Gypsy is ridden by Dana’s daughter, Jenna, and the pair show in the Hunter Pleasure Division.
Gypsy has a vibrant personality and is known for loving the camera. His playful and affectionate nature makes him a favorite among the riders at Vantage Point Farm. Whether posing for photos or performing in the ring, Gypsy always brings a touch of charm and elegance. One of Dana’s favorite things about Gypsy is his love for attention and the camera. “Gypsy absolutely loves the camera! He always seems to know when it’s pointed at him and strikes a perfect pose.”
Dana is excited about the future for this exceptional horse and the many adventures they will share. The support and training provided by May Chadick and the community at Vantage Point Farm have been instrumental in their journey.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. With the help of the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show family, Karinda has raised over $30,000 for Candlelighter’s Houston since starting this project.
