TABASCO 100 | 10 YEAR OLD OLDENBURG SPRINGPFERDE | FAIRGROVE, MO
Basko, Tabasco 100, is an Oldenburg Springferde Gelding. He is by the stallion Tulum. Basko lives and trains at Katalyst Sporthorses in Fairgrove, MO.
Basko, the friendly dark bay horse, has a double star on his forehead and two front socks, and a right hind sock, giving him a distinct appearance.
During his arrival at the stables, Basko’s eagerness to get off the shipper’s trailer resulted in him accidentally hitting his right eye on the doorway, which left a small scar. However, this little mark only adds to his charm and sets him apart from the other horses.
When Basko becomes concerned about something, he has a habit of pursing his lips and wrinkling his scar, as if deep in thought. Basko is a beloved member of the stable, known for his friendly personality and willingness to interact with humans.
Karissa, Basko’s loving owner, found him two years ago. She had been searching for a new equine companion for quite some time, but none of the horses she had seen felt like the perfect fit. That is until she laid her eyes on Basko. It was love at first sight, and she knew that he was the one. From the moment they met, there was an instant connection between Karissa and Basko, and she knew that he was the perfect horse for her. They have been inseparable ever since, and Karissa couldn’t be happier to have found such a wonderful companion in Basko.
Basko has a bit of a sweet tooth when it comes to treats. His favorite treat, without a doubt, is stud muffins. These delicious treats are like little bites of heaven to Basko, and he can’t resist gobbling them up whenever they’re offered.
Karissa knows just how much he loves his stud muffins and always keeps them on hand as a special treat. Basko’s eyes light up with excitement whenever he sees the bag of stud muffins, and he eagerly awaits his reward for being such a good boy. With his love for these tasty treats, it’s no wonder that Basko is always in good spirits and ready for whatever adventures the day may bring.
Basko has achieved some impressive accomplishments throughout his career. One of his most notable feats is being Karissa’s first import horse with an FEI passport. This is a significant accomplishment and a testament to Basko’s skill and talent as an equestrian athlete.
Karissa’s love for riding started at a young age. She fondly remembers riding horses as early as age five, and the feeling of the wind in her hair as she galloped across the fields. Over time, her passion for riding grew, and she eventually decided to turn it into a career.
Karissa has now owned her barn for 20 years and has dedicated her life to the care and well-being of horses. She cherishes every moment spent with them, from riding and training to grooming and feeding. Karissa’s love for horses is infectious, and her dedication to the equestrian lifestyle is truly admirable. It’s no wonder that Basko, her trusty companion, is so happy and content under her care.
One of Karissa’s fondest memories with Basko is how they came to be partners in the first place. After her previous show horse suffered a career-ending injury while competing in Ocala, Karissa was left feeling uncertain about her future in the sport. But with the help of a friend in Germany who handles horse imports, Karissa was able to find her next partner in Basko.
Karissa vividly remembers the day she received the video of Basko and knew instantly that he was the one for her. With his talent and personality, Basko was just what Karissa needed to get back in the ring and continue pursuing her passion for equestrian sports.
