Fifi, T-Quick Hurricane Z, is a Zangersheide Mare. Her sire is Thunder Van De Zuuthoeve who is by Argentinus. Her dam is Quick Shakira who is by Omni Star. She was bred by Isabel Ledin. Fifi lives and trains at Kroff Stables.
Fifi, the dark bay horse, is a unique and captivating individual. With her lustrous coat and strong-willed personality, she’s not easily swayed by others. Fifi and her human companion share the same independent nature, both disliking being told what to do. While her opinions can present challenges, their bond is unbreakable. Fifi’s presence in the equestrian world leaves a lasting impression, reminding us of the beauty and power of embracing our individuality.
Allison, Fifi’s owner, embarked on a unique journey to find her beloved horse. Amid the challenges of the Covid era, she faced the obstacle of not being able to personally try out Fifi. Instead of relying on a trusted friend in Europe, Allison had him test Fifi and provide his feedback. With his assurance that Fifi would be a perfect fit, Allison took a leap of faith and purchased her through video footage. Although apprehensive about buying without direct interaction, her worries quickly faded away when Fifi arrived. From the moment Fifi entered her life, she proved to be a true superstar, exceeding all expectations and solidifying the special bond between Allison and her remarkable equine companion.
Fifi has a clear favorite when it comes to treats: apples! This delightful dark bay horse simply can’t resist the sweet and refreshing taste of these juicy fruits. Whenever a crisp apple is presented to her, Fifi’s eyes light up with anticipation, and her velvety muzzle eagerly reaches out to savor every bite.
Fifi, the true superstar that she is, has achieved remarkable accomplishments since joining the scene in mid-2021. Her undeniable talent and hard work have propelled her to win an impressive four National Standard Grand Prix competitions. With each event, Fifi showcases her exceptional jumping skills and finesse, consistently delivering clean and flawless rounds. Her success speaks volumes about her dedication and the strong partnership she shares with her rider. Fifi’s remarkable track record demonstrates her ability to consistently rise to the occasion and excel in the competitive world of show jumping, earning her a well-deserved reputation as a top performer.
Allison’s journey into the world of horse riding began unexpectedly when she was just eight years old. It all started with the passing of her best friend’s bunny, which led her parents to believe that riding horses would be a temporary phase. Little did they know that this initial spark of curiosity would ignite a lifelong passion. Fast forward 31 years, and Allison, along with her husband James, now runs a boutique show barn in beautiful Scottsdale. What began as a seemingly fleeting interest has blossomed into a full-fledged equestrian career, filled with love, dedication, and the fulfillment of a childhood dream.
Allison’s favorite memory with Fifi is still fresh in her mind, a recent highlight that holds a special place in her heart. It took place during their debut at the renowned Pin Oak Charity Show. The atmosphere was electric, and the stakes were high as Fifi and Allison prepared to compete. Supported by Kroff Stables, Fifi’s confidence radiated as she stepped into the indoor arena. The connection between rider and horse was palpable, and Allison could sense Fifi’s determination to succeed. As they flawlessly navigated the course, it was evident that Fifi was thriving on the energy of the event. With every jump, Fifi’s ambition to triumph shone through, and their partnership propelled them to victory in the Welcome Stake. It was a moment of pure joy and triumph, a memory that Allison will cherish as a testament to the incredible bond between her and her extraordinary horse, Fifi.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2023 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 150 Horses and Dogs and was able to donate just under $15,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston.
