JJ, Super Sonic, is a Dutch Warmblood Gelding. He lives and trains at S4 Farm in Houston, TX. JJ is leased by Sabine Cooper, and owned by Racheal Morris.
JJ is a beautiful horse with a striking dark bay coat and a tiny star that adds a touch of charm to his appearance. But it’s his playful and silly personality that sets him apart from other horses. JJ loves to goof around and can often be found making his human companions laugh with his silly antics. Whether he’s prancing around in the paddock or eagerly nuzzling for treats, JJ is a joy to be around and is truly one-of-a-kind.
Sabine, JJ’s leaser, has always had a love for horses, so it came as a wonderful surprise when her mom and grandparents gifted her with the opportunity to lease JJ in December of 2014. Sabine immediately fell in love with the silly bay horse and the two formed an unbreakable bond. Sabine and JJ are inseparable and enjoy countless adventures together, all thanks to the surprise gift from her loving family.
JJ has a sweet tooth and loves to indulge in his favorite treats: carrots and peppermints! Whether he’s working hard in the arena or relaxing in his stall, nothing makes JJ happier than a crunchy carrot or a refreshing peppermint. Sabine always keeps a stash of these delicious treats on hand to reward JJ for his hard work and to show him some extra love. With his head poking over the stall door, JJ eagerly awaits his next tasty snack, and his eyes light up with delight as he chomps away on his favorite treats.
One of Sabine’s favorite memories with JJ is when she found out she was going to ride and lease him for a show. JJ was always a natural in the arena, and Sabine knew that they would make a great team. As they practiced and trained for the show, Sabine couldn’t help but be charmed by JJ’s sweet personality. She loved the way he would lift his legs when he wanted a treat and how he would lick his lips after enjoying a snack – it was just too cute! It was a moment that Sabine would never forget, and it just reinforced the special bond that she shared with her beloved horse.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2023 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 150 Horses and Dogs and was able to donate just under $15,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston.
