STORMY AFFAIR | 7 YEAR-OLD WARMBLOOD | ARGYLE, TX
Stormy, Stormy Affairs, is a Warmblood Gelding. His sire is Crown Affair, his dam is Ginger Rogers. He was bred by the Cox Family in Athens, TX.
Stormy lives at Windswept Farm in Argyle, TX. He is a chestnut horse with a striking white stripe on his face and possesses a unique blend of traits. Born during a fierce storm, he aptly earned his name. With a delightful temperament, Stormy easily connects with people and other horses alike, garnering their admiration. However, what truly sets him apart is his ability to express his opinions. Whether he agrees or disagrees, Stormy makes his thoughts known, adding an intriguing layer to his already captivating personality.
Viviane, Stormy’s owner, vividly recalls the serendipitous moment when she first laid eyes on him. Acquiring Stormy as a young, almost five-year-old horse, Viviane instantly knew that he was meant to be a part of her life. It was a love-at-first-sight connection that surpassed all expectations. For the past two years, Stormy has brought joy and companionship into Viviane’s world, solidifying their bond as owner and horse. Their story is a testament to the extraordinary power of fate and the undeniable chemistry that can be found between a person and their four-legged companion.
With his discerning taste buds, Stormy has a clear favorite when it comes to treats. Peppermints and molasses cookies hold a special place in his heart. The moment he catches a whiff of that minty freshness or the sweet aroma of molasses, his eyes light up with anticipation of eating the treat. Whether it’s the refreshing burst of peppermint or the rich, indulgent taste of molasses, Stormy can’t resist these delightful goodies.
Stormy has achieved remarkable milestones in just two short years. Starting from the baby greens, he has steadily advanced to the esteemed Junior division, showcasing his growth and talent as a competitive horse. Viviane, his proud owner, marvels at Stormy’s progress and recognizes the pivotal role played by the dedicated trainers who have nurtured his potential. The journey from novice to Junior division is a testament to Stormy’s hard work and the unwavering support he receives from his trainers and the equestrian community. The collective pride felt for Stormy’s accomplishments is a testament to the incredible bond and partnership he has formed with his team, a testament to his extraordinary spirit and the dedication poured into his training.
Viviane’s journey into the world of horseback riding began approximately five years ago, and it has been a transformative experience for her ever since. As a Junior rider, she discovered the profound joy of working with green horses, those eager yet inexperienced companions. The process of guiding and nurturing these horses, witnessing their growth and maturation, became a source of immense fulfillment for Viviane. The investment of time and patience was truly rewarding, as she witnessed firsthand the remarkable progress and deep connection that can be formed through this partnership.
One of Viviane’s favorite memories with Stormy involves his infamous side-eye. During his very first show, Stormy lost a shoe, and while waiting for the farrier, they had to move out of his view. To their surprise, Stormy stared them down with the funniest side-eye, filled with a mix of amusement and curiosity. It became their inside joke, and now, whenever Stormy wants a good scratch, he uses his side-eye as a playful way of letting them know. This lighthearted moment showcases the unique bond and shared laughter between Viviane and her beloved horse.
