Spring Fling, also known as “Dog,” is a beautiful 9-year-old Welsh Pony. She is ridden by Annie Cooper and trains with Richard Cunkle in Wellington, FL.
Sweet and affectionate, Spring Fling loves people and is happiest when she’s the center of attention. She has a gentle nature and a kind heart—making her the perfect pony partner.

One of Annie’s favorite memories with Spring Fling is a moment she’ll never forget: “I got my first 90 on my pony and won a class at Capital Challenge. We ended up Reserve Champion!” She recalls telling her pony, “If you get me a 90, I’ll give you all the Pop-Tarts you want.” And clearly, Spring Fling delivered!
Their journey began when Annie first tried her at Pony Finals at just 6 years old. Both were still a bit green, so they waited until Devon 2024 to try again—and this time, they knew it was a perfect match.
Her favorite treat? Strawberry frosted Pop-Tarts—earned and deserved!
Annie started riding before she could remember—probably around age 2. With an older sister already riding, she spent her early years at the barn and naturally began sitting on ponies before she could walk. Horses have been a part of her life ever since.
