Shot of Crown is an 8-year-old Warmblood who resides in Manor, TX. His barn name is “Whiskey” and this handsome boy is owned by Dianne. The dynamic duo trains at Scattered Oaks Farm with Stacie Bertolacci and at Hunter’s Run Farm with Liza Richardson.
Whiskey is a stunning chestnut gelding with a white blaze and 2 white socks. He is by Crow Affair out of a Shine mare bred by Vicki Hunton. Dianne has had him for 5 years. He came to her through her trainer. Dianne asked Liza if there were any talented, young horses that the trainer knew of that would be a good fit for her and Liza mentioned Whiskey. Liza got his showing career started and continued working with him for a year after Dianne purchased him. She wanted to be sure he had a solid start and was nervous about messing him up. However, he inherited his sire’s good brain and has always taken good care of Dianne.
One of Dianne’s favorite memories of Whiskey is when he played with a bird in his paddock. Dianne’s never met a horse that has such a fun and goofy personality. Whiskey is a super-expressive horse and loves to be silly. Dianne says that he is fun to jump with and he loves his job once he’s motivated to get going. His favorite treats are mints and whenever Dianne is unwrapping one he can barely contain his excitement.
Dianne began riding in first grade and the rest is history. She loves the escape it gives her from life and anxiety and their love of peppermints.
Did you know that horses drink an average of 10 gallons of water a day?
