SHALAKO TRINITY | 14-YEAR-OLD IRISH SPORT HORSE | SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

Meet Shak, the 14-year-old Irish Sport Horse known in the show ring as Shalako Trinity. With his distinctive three white socks (both front and back left) and a white blaze, Shak is a standout at Twisted Oak Farm in San Antonio, TX, where he trains under the expert guidance of Claudia Conn. Twisted Oak Farm is renowned for its top-notch facilities and supportive community, making it the perfect place for Shak and his rider, Harper Daetwyler.

Harper hasn’t had Shak for long but already cherishes their time together. One of her favorite memories is their first show at Winter Series Week 4. Despite only having him for three weeks, they stepped right into the Children’s Hunter class, and Shak did absolutely phenomenal. “We clicked immediately, and he acted like the jumps were nothing. I also got to learn his sweet personality that week. I’m just looking forward to making more memories with him,” Harper shares.

Claudia Conn found Shak through Britt McCormick, who had him at his barn for years. Harper was instantly captivated by Shak’s sweetness and gorgeous appearance. “He was the sweetest horse I had ever met, and I clicked immediately with him,” Harper recalls.

Shak has a sweet and affectionate personality and always wants to be petted. Though Harper has only had him for a short time, she is already discovering his loving nature. Shak loves SnaksFifthAvenchew cookies and PopTarts, making treat time a delightful experience.

Shak has an impressive show record, having gone to Junior Hunter Finals with his previous owner. Harper is excited to continue building their partnership and looks forward to many successful competitions ahead.

Harper’s passion for horses began because her mom has been riding for a long time. “I’ve had horses for over nine years. I just love discovering all their loving personalities,” she says.
