Meet Olympus OHS, “Ollie”, a 7-year-old Zweibrückera bay gelding with a white blaze. He was bred by October Hills, his sire is Olander(on target). Olympus is owned and ridden by Kaitlyn who trains with Brooke Brown at Regal Sport Horses in Richmond, TX.
Kaitlyn shares her most memorable show with Ollie, “Winter Series IV in Katy, TX, rocking the Low Adult Jumper Classic and placing! He was so brave and gave me his all. And get got lots of treats!”
Kaitlyn got Ollie in August of 2020 as a 10-year anniversary gift from her husband. “I have ridden all my life and took a long break to have 4 kids. I started riding again about 3 years ago and got Ollie soon after!”
Ollie loves kisses, tons of snuggles from his mom, and likes for you to grab his tongue. His favorite hobby though…naps! Ollie’s favorite treats are carrots.
The pair are nearing their second anniversary and since their journey has begun they have accomplished the .75m, placed Reserve Champion at Winter Series IV 2022, Reserve Champion in the Low Adults, and 8th in the classic. The pair have grown exponentially and have many more accomplishments yet to come!
Kaitlyn started riding at the age of 5, starting with ponies and horses, then to the Hunter ring. In 2010, she had her first child and decided it was time for a break. Four incredible children later, there were thoughts of getting back into the swing of things. Funny enough Kaitlyn’s third child decided she wanted to start riding…and of course, Kaitlyn was all about this! But obviously, she couldn’t just sit on the sidelines, so back in she went! The pair are now a shining mother-daughter duo sharing their love for horses with one another, riding together, and even getting to show together!
