Meet Ollie, dark chestnut with white socks and a stripe along his face. Ollie is an 8-year-old Quarter Pony ridden and adored by Chloe Alcorta. The pair train with Susan McMorris at Rio Vista Farms in Austin, TX
Chloe shares her favorite memory with Ollie which was their first year at Pin Oak, in 2022. “We walked into it (the show) not super confident! We entered the ring for the hack and ended up winning it!!”, says Chloe. Chloe’s trainer, Susan McMorris, found Ollie through mutuals and the pair have been together just about 2 years now. Chloe says it was “LOVE at first sight!” – she absolutely knew that he was the one for her.
“Ollie is the funniest and most playful pony around! He kind of reminds me of a brand new puppy.”, shares Chloe. He loves any sour candy and especially candy corn! Ollie has many great accomplishments under his belt, one of which is placing Champion in the Zone for the Pony Hunter Breeding 2-year-olds in 2015!
Chloe has been showing around the schooling and A circuit shows. She has been riding for about 6 years after catching the bug from a summer horse camp. She shares that her favorite thing about having a horse is making that special bond with them.
