Novella “Novie” | Brooke Miller Equestrian Carencro, LA | Brooke Miller

Meet “Novie”, better known as Novella in the show ring. Novie is a 4-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare by the Stallion Jenssen VDL (HarleyxZirocco Blue), and out of an Indoctro mare. This sweet girl is a gorgeous roan chestnut with a stripe along her face, 3 white socks, and a belly spot. Novie is owned and loved by Jason Domingue and Brooke Miller, and ridden by Brooke out of her farm in Carencro, Louisiana – Brooke Miller Equestrian.

Brooke and Jason got Novie from an auction in Europe! “It was definitely an exciting and long-awaited process but we are thrilled with her! The timing was right after her quarantine was up for her to get to us in North Carolina while at a horse show.” For those who aren’t familiar, horses who are imported from other countries have to be in quarantine before travel. This ensures all necessary measures are taken for horses to not get others sick and bring anything in or out that is harmful to the animals. Just like humans, precautions like this are necessary to keep our precious babies safe and healthy!

Novella is new to the Miller Family. They imported her last May as a halter-broke, green 3-year-old. Brooke shared that she has the sweetest personality and just wants to give kisses and be in her pocket. I imagine Novella has the type of horse who if she could shrink up to be a tiny version of herself and sit in your lap, like a tiny lap dog, she’d do it in a heartbeat and love every second!

Novella’s favorite treats are German Muffins.
