NORTH SOUND | 7 YEAR – OLD WARMBLOOD GELDING | NADA WISE, TEXAS

Meet North Sound, affectionately known as Tate, the dapple grey Warmblood with a charming personality and a positive attitude. Tate is trained by Nada Wise and adored by his rider, Katie Lomness.

Katie shares her thoughts about Tate: “I haven’t had him that long, so this one is hard. He is super sweet though and has a great personality. He’s a go-getter!” Despite their short time together, Katie and Tate have already formed a special bond.

Tate was found through Sarah Jane Franklin in June 2023. He is almost 8 years old, with a date of birth of June 26, 2016. His original name was Espoir Van De Keihill Z, and he hails from Keihill Stables in the Netherlands. His sire is Elvis Ter Putte, and his dam is Zassima. There is even a super cute picture of him as a baby on Keihill Stables’ Instagram!

Tate is known for his affectionate nature and is quite the snuggly horse. “He is very spoiled. He only had one owner before me, and from what I’m told, she let him do whatever he wanted. He is very sweet though and has never spooked at anything. He has a great personality and is a go-getter in the ring!” Katie explains.

Tate’s favorite treat is apples, but he isn’t picky and will eat anything. Although they haven’t yet achieved any major accomplishments together, Katie and Tate are looking forward to a bright future filled with success and memorable moments.

Katie’s equestrian journey began when she was 10 years old. She has shown in hunters and equitation and rode competitively on an IHSA team in college at the University of Central Florida, where she was her zone’s Cacchione Cup winner in 2011.

Katie and Tate are excited about their future together and look forward to many more joyful and successful years with Nada Wise.
