Noiraud van de Begijnakker, is known as Tito by his owner Avery. The pair trains with Kersten Levine of Esoteric Farm in Austin, TX.
His sire is Arko III, and his dam is Hermine van de Begijnakker. He is an 8-year-old Belgian Warmblood. You might remember some of Avery’s other horses that we photographed at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, she has a thing for big beautiful bay horses, and Tito is no exception.
For Tito’s birthday last year, she got a bunch of birthday hats and treats. Tito let Avery put a party hat and sash on him, and most of the people at the barn wore hats too. He even jumped around in his party hat and got a bunch of birthday treats. He is extremely playful and sweet and acts like a little kid. He eats anything and loves to cuddle. He also smiles after he gets treats, and he will follow people and other horses around. He has been known to trot after Avery sometimes.
Even though he is young, he has always been so willing to learn and help Avery. The pair have gotten extremely close and he is one of the sweetest horses that Avery has ever owned. She says the more she gets to know him the more she loves him.
This willing horse loves bananas more than anything else, his nickname is also Cheeto because it rhymes with Tito, and he has eaten Cheetos before.
Tito came from Marlac Farm, they were going to lease him for a couple of months, but ended up falling in love with him and buying him. The first time Avery met him, she knew he was the prettiest horse she had ever seen.
Did you know that Bay horses are always bay in color? Although, a few light hairs in the mane and tail are characteristic of some breed lines.
