This cuddly Palimino Pony just might look familiar to many of you, as Noel is the Mascot of Madrone Ranch Stables in Austin, TX. Not only is this adorable Miniature Pony Madrone’s Mascot, but she is also most commonly known for her incredibly Cart-Pulling abilities! Noel was rescued by Rachel Lindsey a few years ago, it was by fate when Rachel was looking for a Mini and came across Noel, who desperately needed a home. Since it was Christmas Eve when Rachel rescued this sweet girl, she decided to name her Noel, and ever since the two met and have had an inseparable bonded.
During horse shows, most barn fronts will have a setup with couches, chairs, tables, etc. for lounging, but not Madrone. Their barn front setup includes a perfect tiny stall for the perfect tiny horse. It’s no wonder she’s the most famous horse around town! Plus, I mean look at her…it doesn’t get much cuter than this!
Just like we all have our pets, Rachel sees Noel as the same. As Rachel is gone traveling for many weeks at a time for horse shows, she shares, “You wouldn’t leave your dog home for three or four weeks in a row, I don’t leave her behind for that long.”
Noel’s job, besides looking adorable, is Cart-Pulling. She drives a cart carrying Rachel and the flag during the National Anthem. “We taught her how to drive a few years ago, and she likes it,” said Rachel. It is also a great way to keep her exercised.
Noel is so friendly and gets along with basically anyone and everyone! We decided to throw in Rachel’s dogs for the Portrait of a lifetime. One who’s getting up there in her years and the other a young buck. Noel was a perfect girl the whole time who was really just in it for the treats…let’s be honest, she’s a smart girl and has learned a thing or two over the years!
