Tou, MTM Thinking of You, is a Swedish Warmblood Mare. She lives at MTM Farm in Flower Mound, TX, and is trained by Natalee Haggan and SeaSea Dance.
Tou, the liver chestnut horse with three white socks and a blaze, is a striking beauty who exudes confidence. She isn’t shy around anyone and loves being the center of attention. Tou seeks out human interaction, by welcoming affection and creating instant bonds with humans, her unique appearance and friendly demeanor make her a remarkable and cherished presence among both humans and horses alike.
Alexandra, Tou’s owner, had the incredible fortune of finding her through the help of Mike McCormick. With gratitude, Alexandra recalls the serendipitous encounter that led to the union between her and Tou. Through Mike’s guidance, Alexandra discovered the perfect equine companion in Tou, a horse who embodies beauty, confidence, and a love for attention. Alexandra will forever be thankful for Mike’s assistance, as he played an instrumental role in bringing these two kindred spirits together.
Tou has yet to encounter a treat she doesn’t adore. With an insatiable appetite and an open-mindedness towards culinary delights, Tou’s favorite treat is, quite simply, any treat that comes her way. From crunchy apples to sweet carrots, and from peppermint candies to molasses-coated goodies, Tou eagerly indulges in every snack that crosses her path. Her taste buds are versatile, and she finds joy in savoring a wide variety of treats.
The remarkable horse with an unwavering spirit, has achieved an impressive feat in her equestrian journey. Together with Alexandra, they triumphed in the 1.30m speed stake at Pin Oak Week 3. This noteworthy accomplishment showcases Tou’s agility, speed, and exceptional skills as a show jumper. With their unwavering teamwork and determination to excel, the duo overcame formidable obstacles and emerged victorious.
Alexandra’s love for riding horses began long before she could even take her first steps. Growing up in a family where her mother had a deep passion for horses and riding, it was only natural for Alexandra to follow in her footsteps. From her earliest memories, horses were a constant presence in her life, and their magnetic allure drew her closer. What truly captivated Alexandra was the unique bond that formed between her and these majestic creatures. Through their unwavering companionship and unconditional love, horses became more than just animals; they became steadfast friends, always there to lend a comforting presence. It is this extraordinary connection, unlike any other, that fuels Alexandra’s passion for riding and deepens her appreciation for the remarkable bond she shares with her equine companions.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2023 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 150 Horses and Dogs and was able to donate just under $15,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston.
