BETTY | 14-YEAR OLD CANADIAN SPORT HORSE | MANOR, TX
Betty, MTM Betty White, is a Canadian Sport Horse Mare. She was bred by Ashland Farm in Canada. Betty lives and trains at Esoteric Farm with Kersten Levine in Manor, TX.
Betty has a charming pink snip on her nose that resembles a lipstick mark. She possesses a great personality that exudes proper and put-together behavior on the outside, yet she loves nothing more than to let loose, roll in the mud, and run around with her pasture pals.
Anna, Betty’s owner, first met Betty after she had arrived from MTM for a trial week, just a few days before a scheduled trip with her trainer to Houston to try horses. While the trip to Houston didn’t find her the horse of her dreams, Anna found a silver lining with the horse who was already back home, already waiting for her, and the rest was history.
Betty’s impressive talent and hard work paid off when she won a class at the prestigious Canadian Royal competition with an outstanding score of 90.
Anna grew up around horses her entire life, and it was common for her to witness people riding them down the street, thus, her fondness for these majestic animals only grew. When she was old enough to ride, she joined a riding camp and has been captivated by horses ever since.
When Anna first saw Betty, she felt hesitant and unsure due to a previous confidence break and a personal preference for young bay geldings. However, Anna’s perspective shifted after riding the 15.3 older grey mare and experienced a sense of safety that had been gone for some time. Despite trying other horses, she knew in her heart that Betty was the one, and she proved to be a transformative presence in Anna’s riding journey, instilling confidence in her. Those who have had the opportunity to ride or own Betty have attested to her being a truly exceptional horse, and Anna wholeheartedly concurs.
