Max was a fawn Boxer with a white on his face, chest, and toes. He was loved by Crystal and lived in Missouri.
Max was a gift to Crystal as an 8-week-old pup from her grandparents. They had always heard that Boxers made great dogs for kids and so Max came into their family. Max was Crystal’s best friend and Crystal was Max’s favorite.
The pair grew up together and one of his favorite games was to attack her feet and legs when she would lay on the floor on her stomach. He would sound like he was tearing her apart when in reality he never so much as laid a tooth on her. He also loved giant bouncy balls and loved chasing them all over the backyard. That is until he managed to pop them.
Max was a people’s dog with a gentle soul. He loved being with his people. His favorite treat was McDonald’s hamburgers and he loved cuddling with Crystal whenever he could.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2021 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 140 Horses, Dogs, and even Goats, and was able to donate $10,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston. These are the stories of the Horses, Dogs, and Goats that were photographed at the show, these stories complement a photographic book that Karinda is printing and donating to Texas Children’s Hospital featuring Portraits of each and every animal she photographed.
