MAN OF MAGIC | 6-YEAR- OLD MORGAN GELDING | GRANBURY, TEXAS
Meet Merlin, the 6-year-old Morgan known in the show ring as Man of Magic. With his striking dark brown coat, Merlin is a standout at Brian Hadley Stables in Weatherford, TX. Brian Hadley Stables is renowned for its excellent care and top-notch training programs, making it the perfect home for Merlin and his rider, Bethany Jennings.

Bethany shares her favorite memory with Merlin: their first show together. “It was last December and my driving debut! It was a thrill like no other and I’m so excited for our first full season of driving!” she recalls with excitement.
Bethany has had Merlin for just over six months. She first met him when she came to her barn for a lesson and was introduced to all the horses. “Something about Merlin drew me to him! August 26th, 2023, was the day I could call him mine!” Bethany shares.
Merlin was bred by Ann Miller, sired by Regal Masterpiece, and out of Darling Delilah. He has a dual personality: in his stall, he’s like a big puppy dog, but it’s like a switch flips when it’s time to work or show. “He’s got the sweetest eyes and just wants snuggles,” Bethany says.
Merlin loves any treat he can get a hold of, but his favorite is German Muffins. His affectionate nature and versatility make him a cherished companion for Bethany.

Bethany’s love for horses began in her childhood when she used to ride. “My favorite part of owning a horse is that no matter what kind of day I could be having, my horse is always there for me,” she shares.
Bethany and Merlin are looking forward to their first full season of driving and many more memorable moments together at Brian Hadley Stables.
