LF ESCAPADE’S VINTAGE | 8 YEAR OLD OLDENBURG | MAGNOLIA, TX
Vinnie, LF Escapade’s Vintage, is an Oldenburg Gelding. He was bred by Audrey Gates in Lagniappe Farms in Louisiana. The pair trains at True Catori Farms in Magnolia, TX.
Vinnie is a charming and impressive horse! Standing at 16.2 hands tall, he has a striking chestnut coat with a broken blaze on his face that draws anyone’s attention to him. But what really sets him apart are the adorable details – like the cute pink dot on his nose, and the two white stripes above his right ear. And let’s not forget about his back feet, which sport two short socks that just add to his overall charm.
But it’s not just Vinnie’s good looks that make him special – he’s got an amazing personality too. He and his rider, Olive, have a close bond, with very similar personalities. Vinnie is a hard worker and always gives his best effort, never wanting to let anyone down. When it comes time to compete, he has a serious “game face” and always tries to impress the judges and his rider. With Vinnie on your team, you know you can count on him to always give his all and make you proud.
Olive, Vinnie’s owner, had a stroke of good luck when she found him through TKO sport horses and her old trainer, Shelby Patanella. As soon as she laid eyes on Vinnie, she knew there was something special about him. But it wasn’t until she climbed into the saddle and felt the connection between them that she truly knew they were meant to be. The joy on her face was evident, as she couldn’t stop smiling and was overjoyed to have found such an amazing horse. It was clear from the very beginning that Olive and Vinnie were a match made in heaven.
This charming chestnut horse has a sweet tooth like no other! His absolute favorite treats are gummy bears, skittles, and donuts. When it comes to snacks, Vinnie knows exactly what he likes and won’t settle for anything less. These tasty treats not only satisfy his cravings but also serve as a great reward for a job well done. Whether he’s performing in the show ring or simply enjoying some downtime, you can always find Vinnie eagerly munching on his favorite sweet treats. If you want to make this equine friend happy, just bring him a bag of gummy bears, skittles, or a box of donuts – he’ll be your best buddy for life!
Vinnie has quite an impressive list of accomplishments! As a yearling, he won the coveted Baby Green of the Year award – a testament to his natural talent and potential. But that was just the beginning. Vinnie also went on to win several other modeling awards under the guidance of Rob Moyar, showcasing his stunning good looks and impeccable form. It’s clear that Vinnie is not only a hardworking and dedicated horse, but also a true standout in his field. With a bright future ahead of him, there’s no doubt that Vinnie will continue to impress and inspire those around him.
Olive’s love for horses started at a young age, riding her grandparent’s donkeys around their yard. As she grew older, her passion for horses only intensified. At the age of 7, she began taking riding lessons and quickly fell in love with the sport. When she turned 13, she was lucky enough to find Vinnie – the perfect horse to share her love for riding with. For Olive, owning a horse is all about the special bond she shares with Vinnie. Every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow together, strengthening their connection and deepening their trust. For Olive, there’s nothing quite like the joy and fulfillment that comes from riding and caring for her beloved equine companion.
The pair share countless special memories, but one that stands out as particularly memorable was their first time competing together at the winter series. It was a big moment for both of them, as they were moving up a class and had put in a lot of hard work to prepare. Despite the cold weather and stressful atmosphere, Olive and Vinnie were determined to do their best. When the competition was over and the results were announced, they were thrilled to learn that they had earned the reserve position. All of their hard work had paid off, and they had made some wonderful memories along the way. For Olive, that day at the winter series will always be a special reminder of the incredible bond she shares with Vinnie and the amazing things they can accomplish together.
