This fall I visited Twisted Oak Farm in Bulverde,TX to photograph Jessica & Harper. I am loving these Mother & Daughter portrait sessions with their horses. There is something so incredibly special about sharing the love for horses, with your daughters, but there are very few moms who have the opportunity to ride and show alongside their daughters. After doing a few other portrait sessions at Twisted Oak Farm, Jessica came up to me at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show earlier this year and reserved her portrait session for this fall because she knew they had to have portraits.
Each and every time I visit Claudia’s farm in Bulverde,TX, just outside of San Antonio, I have the best time. It is one of the most gorgeous farms and there is something magical about all of the trees at the farm when the light comes through them at sunset. Plus, it is so fun to get to see so many of my former clients and sneak in some pony cuddles with some of my favorite ponies when I am at the barn.
My clients typically do two different looks for their portrait session, and I ADORE the looks that Jessica & Harper put together. I always recommend choosing things that complement each other but are unique for each person. They started out with these gorgeous jewel tone dresses, I don’t think there are two more perfect dresses on this earth. Aren’t they gorgeous?! They are both gorgeous tones, the perfect fabric with some structure but they still flow just a little bit, and they have gorgeous shape. Even on the incredibly windy evening we had, these dresses looked flawless. For their second look they went with an equestrian look that was dressed up with blouses instead of traditional show shirts. I love how they used pink in both of their looks to tie their looks together in a subtle way.
I am looking forward to so many more Mother & Daughter Equestrian Portrait Sessions in the coming years.
