All Jazzed Up, is owned by Mari. Jazzy is a 9-year-old Thoroughbred. This gorgeous bay mare is incredibly sweet and loves carrots. She lives at Oakwell Farms in San Antonio, TX.
Mari’s favorite part about Jazzy is that is always looking to Mari to take the lead on things even when Mari is feeling a little hesitant, and the best part is that she always has her back even when Mari makes mistakes. Mari shares, “My favorite memory with my horse was when Jazzy and I won reserve at winter series. We both really connected as a team. Jazzy has amazing foot speed and loves her job. She knows when she does good and started prancing around after the last jump.”
Mari leased her from the barn, and when COVID hit they weren’t able to go look at horses to buy, over time Mari & Jazzy built a bond, and soon enough Mari knew that Jazzy was the perfect little sidekick.
Mari has always loved animals, but her Grandmother always loved horses. Her grandmother would take her to the family ranch to see them all of the time, and eventually, she decided to try riding. That was about 4 years ago, and she completely fell in love with everything about riding. “My favorite part about owning a horse and being a part of this community is that I bring a little bit of diversity into such an amazing world and was able to have amazing opportunities with amazing horses.”
Did you know that horses can’t breathe through their mouths?
