Inter Carthago, “Carter”, is a 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood Grey gelding. His sire is Mylord Carthago and his dam is Serena. This handsome dappled grey is owned and ridden by Christina Costello who trains with Rachel Lindsey at Madrone Ranch Stables in Austin, TX.
Christina’s favorite memory with Carter was after their Classic ride in Ocala, FL. “Carter and I had a really great round and he knew it! He got super excited right after our round and started licking my helmet and making noises and funny faces! It was the sweetest thing.”
Christina found Carter through her trainer, Rachel Lindsey when she moved to Austin! She is grateful to Rachel for introducing her to her soulmate…her heart horse. Christina has owned Carter for several months now and the two have an inseparable bond.
Carter’s favorite treats are peppermints, but he LOVES to lick them! Carter has many cute little quirks, Christina’s favorite is his goofy noises (of all kinds) that he loves to make.
Christina has been riding ever since she attended a summer camp at age 9! She shares her favorite thing about owning and having horses: they are the absolute most empathetic and genuine beings. She loves being able to ride and continuously learn with them.
