Horse Shoe is a Saddlebred Gelding. His sire is Samur who is by Unsung. He is trained by Sandy Currier at Bluebonnet Farm in Bellville, TX.
Horse Shoe is a beautiful chestnut-colored horse with a full blaze on his face that makes him stand out from the rest. He has a very lively personality and always brings joy to those around him with his playful antics.
Randy, Horse Shoe’s owner, had a unique experience when it came to finding his beloved horse. As it turns out, Horse Shoe was actually homebred – Randy saw him the day he was born! There was an instant connection between Randy and the little foal, and he knew that he had to have him. Over the years, Randy watched Horse Shoe grow into the beautiful chestnut horse that he is today, and the bond between the two only grew stronger.
The lovable chestnut horse has a favorite treat that he just can’t get enough of, carrots! Whenever he sees his caretakers approaching with a bag of carrots, his eyes light up with excitement and he can hardly contain his enthusiasm. Horse Shoe loves the satisfying crunch of the carrots, and the sweetness of each bite makes him incredibly happy. His caretakers know just how much he adores these tasty treats, and they always make sure to have some on hand to reward him for a job well done or simply to show him some extra love.
Randy’s love for horses began at an early age when he was raised around American Saddlebreds. As he grew older, his passion for these majestic animals only intensified, and he became a horse owner himself for over 30 years. But it wasn’t just riding that drew Randy to horses – he was also fascinated by the breeding aspect of the equine world. He loved studying bloodlines and pedigrees, and he enjoyed the process of raising and training horses from foals to fully grown adults. Over the years, Randy has built a deep connection with his horses, and he continues to be amazed by their grace, strength, and beauty. Riding horses has become a way of life for him, and he couldn’t imagine a world without these amazing creatures.
One of Randy’s favorite stories about Horse Shoe revolves around his impressive bloodline. Horse Shoe is the product of Randy’s third generation of breeding, and he embodies all the qualities that Randy looks for in a horse. With his beautiful, flashy mane and tail, Horse Shoe is a stunning sight to behold. But what Randy loves most about him is his sweet and affectionate personality. Despite his impressive looks and talents, Horse Shoe remains humble and down-to-earth, always eager to please and to do his job well. For Randy, Horse Shoe is a shining example of the incredible things that can be accomplished with careful breeding and dedicated training, and he feels incredibly proud to have him as a part of his equine family.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2023 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 150 Horses and Dogs and was able to donate just under $15,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston.
