High Valley is an 8-year-old KWPN, which is another type of Dutch Warmblood, by Spartacus and out of All Risk B. This handsome gelding has two white socks, some identifying white hairs on his whithers, and a small white star on the crest of his forehead. High Valley is owned and much adored by Eloise Chick who trains with Lacy Hudson out of Empire Acres Farm in Manor, TX.
Eloise shared with us that High Valley was recently imported from Holland this past October. When he landed in the United States, she was sent a photo of him and knew he was perfect!
Her previous horse was sold right before her 12th birthday. He was so special to her, a true Unicorn. Given so, she wasn’t expecting to bond right away with High Valley – but after her 2nd day riding him, she knew he was the perfect match.
We asked Eloise if she could describe High Valley in one word and her response? Superman. Why? Well, just like Superman, he takes great care of her and is there to guide and protect her. Although, he is still figuring out all of his superpowers!
High Valley’s favorite treats are apples and carrots.
Eloise started riding with her mom at age 3. Her mom would go to the barn and bring Eloise along with her, thus falling in love with all things horses! “I love everything about horses, but especially being able to spend time with my mom doing the thing we both share a tremendous amount of love for is my favorite.”
