Heylo | Dutch Warmblood Gelding | Argyle, TX

HEYLO | 11 YEAR OLD DUTCH WARMBLOOD | ARGYLE, TX

Uno, Helyo, is a Dutch Warmblood Gelding. His dam is Numero Uno who is out of a Voltaire mare. He was bred by Paul Janssen from Well, Limburg in the Netherlands. Uno lives and trains at Windswept Farm in Argyle, TX.

Uno is a horse with unique characteristics. He has a star/strip marking on his forehead and two white stockings on his hind legs. Uno’s personality is larger than life, and he is incredibly social. Whenever someone approaches him, he greets them eagerly with his ears forward and his big, sweet eyes.

Megan stumbled upon Uno, the horse of her dreams while browsing Facebook. Though she wasn’t actively searching for a new horse, Uno’s unique qualities captured her attention immediately. It wasn’t until two weeks later, after selling her previous horse at a show, that Megan decided to bring Uno home.

Uno absolutely adores a classic treat – good old-fashioned carrots! Whenever he is rewarded with this delicious snack, his eyes light up with excitement and he can hardly contain his happiness.

Megan’s passion for horse riding began at the young age of 5 and a half when her parents introduced her to a family friend who owned a Hunter/Jumper farm called Cedar Elm Stables in Forney, Texas. Megan vividly recalls how after her very first riding lesson, she declared that she didn’t want to play soccer or T-ball anymore. Since then, horses have become an integral part of Megan’s life, and she cannot imagine a life without them.

Megan has created many cherished memories with her beloved horse, Uno, over the past four years. However, one memory stands out as her absolute favorite – their first 1.40m jump in Houston. Despite feeling nervous about competing at such a high level, the pair tackled the challenge together with confidence and grace. To Megan’s amazement, Uno soared over the jumps with ease and the duo completed a clear round. The exhilaration of their success and the bond they shared in that moment will forever remain Megan’s favorite memory with Uno.
