HELLO | 11 YEAR OLD BELGIAN WARMBLOOD | AUSTIN, TX

Hello is a Belgian Warmblood Gelding. His sire is Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve who is by Narcos II (Fair Play III). His dam is L. Kyra who is by Flair-Embrica. He was bred in Germany. Hello lives and trains at Madrone Ranch Stables with Rachel Lindsey in Austin, TX.

Hello is a beautiful bay horse with a distinctive star on his forehead and a left front sock with ermine. He also has a coronet band on his hind foot and both right and left crest markings. But it’s not just his striking appearance that sets him apart – Hello’s personality is truly special. Despite standing at an impressive 16 hands, Hello is a gentle giant and has a heart of gold. He is incredibly competitive and always gives his all in any challenge, displaying a fierce determination to succeed.

Abigail, Hello’s owner, was lucky enough to find her beloved horse through her trainer, Rachel Lindsey. Rachel had been keeping an eye out for horses that Abigail could try and Hello was the very first horse that Abigail rode. As soon as she got off him, she knew that he was the one for her. However, Rachel had Abigail ride six more horses just to be sure, but Hello remained at the top of her list. Before Hello, Abigail had leased a horse named Ciao, and someone at Madrone pointed out that “Hello” was a wink from God, since “Ciao” means “hello” in Italian. Abigail has been riding Hello for six months and has owned him for two. She has grown so much in the past few months with her sweet boy and is excited to continue learning and achieving new goals with him by her side.

Hello is quite the treat lover, and has a few favorites that he absolutely can’t resist! For starters, he adores bananas – their sweet, fruity flavor makes them a real treat for him. Hello also loves mango and papaya treats that come all the way from Germany, with their exotic flavors and unique textures. And of course, he can never turn down a classic carrot, which he happily munches on whenever it’s offered to him. With such a diverse range of treats to choose from, it’s clear that Hello has quite the refined palate!

Hello is no stranger to success in the competitive world of horseback riding. He has accomplished some impressive feats over the years! For example, he and Abigail’s trainer won the Texas Green Hunter Stakes on their very first attempt, which is a remarkable achievement. Additionally, before coming to the United States, Hello competed in Germany under the show name Helios and the barn name Toni. During that time, he excelled in the 1.35 Grand Prix, earning numerous victories along the way. It’s clear that Hello is an exceptional horse with a lot of talent and skill – something that Abigail is undoubtedly proud of.

Abigail, a freshman in high school, has been passionate about horses from a young age. As a child, she used to ride her bloodhound like a horse, and when her family moved to Texas, they enrolled her in a riding camp. Although she became too scared to jump and took a break from riding for a while, she continued to enjoy trail rides for fun. Eventually, she found her way back to riding seriously at Madrone Ranch Stables almost two years ago and was warmly welcomed by the community there. Hello is the first horse that Abigail has ever owned, and she feels incredibly fortunate to have him. Her favorite part about owning him is being able to call him her own and feeling proud of the bond they have formed together.

One of Abigail’s fondest memories with Hello is a truly special one. After only riding him for a few weeks, she and Hello competed in a division that she had been working at for a whole year with her previous horse. When they won, Abigail was filled with happiness and pride, and even shed a few happy tears. This victory not only showed how much progress Abigail had made with Hello in such a short amount of time but also strengthened their bond and boosted her confidence as a rider. From that point on, Abigail and Hello continued to win and climb up the ranks, taking on more challenging divisions and achieving even greater success.
