FRANKIE | 15 YEAR-OLD WELSH PONY | RICHMOND, TX

Frankie is a Welsh Pony Gelding owned and loved by Amelia. His sire is Raising L who is by Rollingwood, his dam is EE Sunrise Scarlet. He was bred by Susan Sexton Horn of Prospering Farms Inc. in Prosper, TX.

Frankie lives at Regal Sport Horses in Richmond, TX, the pair trains with Trainer Brooke Brown. The solid grey horse with a tiny snip on his nose possesses a set of unique characteristics that make him stand out. With his bright eyes, adorable baby doll head, and the cutest little ears, Frankie’s charm is undeniable. Whenever you call his name at the barn, he eagerly responds with a combination of love and curiosity, ready to interact with you. Known as a barn favorite, Frankie’s smooth canter is often compared to riding a cloud, bringing joy and delight to anyone fortunate enough to ride him.

Amelia, Frankie’s proud owner, shares a heartwarming story of how their paths crossed. For two and a half years, Frankie has been Amelia’s cherished horse. The journey began when Amelia’s highly knowledgeable coach, Brooke Brown, discovered Frankie in Magnolia, Texas. Excitement filled the air as Amelia eagerly tried Frankie for the first time, and there was an instant connection. In that magical moment, both Amelia and Frankie knew they had found “the one.” Their bond was sealed with love at first sight, and since then, their partnership has blossomed into a beautiful and cherished relationship.

Frankie, the horse with an insatiable appetite for treats, has a particular favorite that never fails to make his eyes light up with joy. Among the array of options available, Frankie’s heart belongs to Bahama Buck’s snow treats with crushed peppermint. The cool and refreshing sensation of the snow, combined with the burst of minty sweetness, creates a flavor combination that Frankie simply adores.

Frankie has achieved notable accomplishments throughout his journey. This year marked a significant milestone as the pair earned their first Pin Oak Blue Ribbon, a well-deserved victory that filled them both with pride and joy. In the previous year, under the guidance of their skilled trainer and coach, Brooke Brown, Frankie showcased his skills in the two-foot hunter category and emerged as the Reserve Champion. This impressive achievement reflected Frankie’s remarkable abilities and the collaborative efforts of the entire team. With each accomplishment, Frankie continues to prove himself as a remarkable athlete and a source of joy and fulfillment for all involved in his success.

Amelia’s love for horse riding started at a young age, thanks to the influence of her horse-loving mother. At just four and a half years old, Amelia began taking riding lessons, which opened up a whole new world of excitement and adventure. For the past three years, Amelia has been fortunate to ride under the guidance of Coach Brooke Brown, whose expertise and supportive nature have made the experience even more enjoyable. The barn has become a cherished place for Jamey, surrounded by friends who share the same passion. However, owning their own horse has brought an added level of joy to Amelia’s equestrian journey. From riding Frankie to dressing him up, she revels in the freedom to express their creativity, adorning Frankie’s hair with as many bows as they can fit. It’s these small moments of connection and personalization that make horse ownership truly special for Amelia.

Amelia fondly recalls a collection of cherished memories with their beloved horse, Frankie. Among the highlights is the exhilarating experience of summer camp, where she and their friends had a blast jumping Frankie at Pine Hill. The joyous occasions continue with the tradition of throwing birthday parties for Frankie, complete with his favorite treats and horse companions. However, the pinnacle of their journey arrived when Jamey and Frankie achieved an extraordinary milestone – winning their first Pin Oak blue ribbon together. This achievement not only filled Amelia’s heart with pride but also fueled their determination to continue honing their equitation and jumping skills, aspiring to qualify and compete in the prestigious Pony Finals.

Additionally, the magical day of the princess photo shoot with Karinda remains etched in Amelia’s memory, capturing breathtaking images that showcase the enchanting bond shared between Amelia and Frankie. These snapshots hold a special place in Amelia’s heart as a testament to the extraordinary moments they’ve shared with their beloved equine companion.
