Many know me as an equine photographer and only that, but what they don’t know is that I didn’t start out as an equine photographer. Before launching my equine photography brand I photographed Newborns & Weddings and even built a newborn photography studio. Everyone always asks how I am so patient with horses, but the truth is that photographing newborns taught me entirely new level of patience. Some days you will sit and try to get a newborn to fall asleep for what feel like hours to just get a few portraits.
Everleigh is my newest niece, and she was born last year. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to make the trip out to San Francisco to visit and photograph Everleigh because traveling is a little bit more difficult now that I have my own little one. At the very last minute my husband and I decided to book tickets and fly out to California to surprise my sister. We booked our tickets on a Monday and flew out just a few days later.
