Bun Bun, Dust Bunny, is Welsh Pony Gelding. He trains at Madrone Ranch in Austin, TX. He is leased by Stella Sorrentino.
Bun Bun, the sweetest pony alive, is a horse with unique characteristics that make him stand out. With a chestnut and roan star, a strip and snip on his nose, and four white stockings, Bun Bun’s coloring is distinct and eye-catching.
What sets Bun Bun apart is his love for little humans. He adores spending time with children and has a gentle and patient nature that makes him the perfect companion for young riders.
Stella, Bun Bun’s leaser, had an extensive search for a suitable horse until Stella’s trainer stumbled upon Bun Bun and knew immediately that he was a special animal. Although Bun Bun was not initially up for sale, we were able to arrange a lease agreement and enjoy many happy days riding and bonding together.
Bun Bun is a horse with discerning tastes, but when it comes to treats, he has a particular fondness for apples and carrots. The crunch of these delicious treats makes him one happy horse.
Stella’s love for horses began at a young age, thanks to the influence of her mother and grandmother, who were both avid equestrians in their youth. At just four years old, Stella climbed aboard her first horse and was immediately hooked. She loved the feeling of freedom and power that came with riding, and the close bond she formed with the majestic animals was unlike anything else she had experienced.
Stella has many fond memories with Bun Bun, but one, in particular, stands out as her favorite. It all started when she first met the adorable pony, who made an instant impression on her with his infectious smile and friendly demeanor. As they were getting acquainted, Stella’s mother decided to snap a photo of the two of them together. Much to everyone’s surprise, Bun Bun immediately perked up and stuck his neck out, giving the biggest grin imaginable. From that moment on, Bun Bun became known as the pony who always says “cheese” whenever a camera is around. His smile is so infectious and heartwarming that it’s impossible not to feel joy when in his presence.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2023 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 150 Horses and Dogs and was able to donate just under $15,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston.
