Dallas Horse Portraits | Gizmo the Hanoverian Thoroughbred
Gizmo, Graphic Design, is 23 year old Hanoverian/ Thoroughbred Cross Gelding. His sire is the Hanoverian stallion Great Scott, his dam is a Thoroughbred named Dizzy Tizzy. He was bred by Amy Seale.
Debbie, Gizmo’s owner says that he is her Goober. He is the kind of horse that is occasionally afraid of everyone, but he still handles carrying special equipment so his owner can ride. Debbie does dressage with Gizmo, and the pair rides with Jennifer Jarvis of Galloping Springs Ranch. Debbie loves to see how proud he is of himself when he does something well.
The pair first me when he was brought to Debbie by his former owner, Amy Seale, who said that she needed to own him. Debbie purchased him September 21, 2005
This goober of a horse loves German Treats with the peppermint in them. Around the barn he is knows as the nicest guy in the pasture. Debbie started riding when her husband decided to take up golfing, so she decided it was the perfect time to start taking lessons! Because lets be honest, what girl didn’t love horses. Now she says, “In my 40’s. No matter how I feel, I’m awesome to my boy.”
Debbie says she is constantly acquiring new favorite memories with her big goofy horse. ” I will never forget the first time I trotted him over some cedar poles. I was slapping him on his neck raving about the great jumper clearing the obstacles. He was so proud of himself. He ignored me and kept circling, stepping over the poles.”
