I had so much fun earlier this year photographing Sarah with her two mares Lady & Naya. Lady is a 13 year old Belgian Warmblood, and Naya is a 15 year old P.R.E. Sarah rides with Michelle Frank at Callegari Equestrian Center in Cypress,TX.
Lady & Naya are absolutely two very special mares, with unique personalities. Lady, Lady in Red, is the cuddly red headed mare. She prefers to be in your pocked looking for cookies, and crowding your space looking for the next snuggle from anyone that is nearby. Naya, Nayade NS, is a little quirkier. Naya was Sarah’s first horse and was a little anxious when the pair first met, but they have grown together and Sarah eventually discovered that Naya has a sweet spot on her head between her ears. Once you get that spot, Naya melts and falls in love with you. As you can imagine, and tell from these pictures, Naya & Lady love each other and hate being separated.
