Curnesco B. Remy is owned by Kinsey and goes by Remy. Remy is a 14-year-old KWPN. Remy and Kinsey train with Elizabeth Daughtery at Irish Lane Equestrian in Houston, TX.
Remy is a beautiful flea-bitten grey with a snip. He is by Unesco and out of Peraska B. One of Kinsey’s favorite memories of Remy is when she had a bad spinal injury she went to see him and he laid his head on her chest and let her be sad. She wouldn’t be able to ride for a while but Remy was right there the entire time.
Remy is a quirky guy who loves his stuffed, green octopus named “Wobby.” Kinsey hangs it in his stall and he loves to play and love on it. Kinsey met Remy when she went to a barn to try out a mare. However, when they arrived she tried him out too. It was an immediate match but she was told that she wouldn’t be getting him. But! He showed up at their barn shortly after as a surprise and they’ve been partners ever since.
Kinsey got started riding with western riding lessons but was quickly converted to English and jumping. It took a few trial runs but now she’s found her barn family and loves improving her skills and partnership with Remy.
Karinda K. is a Houston, TX based equine photographer that travels around the United States photographing equestrians and their horses. Karinda specializes in Outdoor Horse & Rider Portrait sessions that bring to life the magical relationship equestrians share with their horses, Senior Portraits, and Fine Art Black & White Background Portraits for those that want a piece of art featuring their very own animals. Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2021 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 140 Horses, Dogs, and even Goats, and was able to donate $10,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston. These are the stories of the Horses, Dogs, and Goats that were photographed at the show, these stories complement a photographic book that Karinda is printing and donating to Texas Children’s Hospital featuring Portraits of each and every animal she photographed.
