CORDANI OHF| 12 YEARS OLD HOLSTEINER | HUDSON OAKS, TX
Cordani, Cordani OHF, is a Holsteiner Gelding. He was born and raised in October Hill Farm House in Hudson Oaks, TX. His sire is Cascani and his dam is Ophelia. He trains with Christian Heineking.
Cordani is a bay horse with a white snip and a white sock and a coronet band, standing at 16 hands tall. He has a unique feature known as the “Prophet’s Thumbprint” on his left neck, which according to folklore, signifies he is a special horse. Cordani is a bit shy but very polite and kind. Rachel loves to call him “Corn Dog” or “Corn.”
Corn Dog’s favorite horse treat is Paddock Cakes, but he dislikes bougie and overpriced artsy cookies, promptly spitting them out.
Rachel has been riding since childhood, starting at age 8, and owning her first pony at around age 10. She did eventing as a junior and transitioned to jumpers after college when she returned to DFW. Her mother, who rode horses as a child, encouraged Rachel and her siblings to ride. Rachel loves horses for the special connection, bond, and teamwork that she shares with them.
Rachel’s favorite memory with Cordani is the Zone Team Jumper Championships in Michigan where they helped their team win a Gold Medal by completing a difficult course with a clear round. During the event, Rachel felt a strong bond with Cordani, and they became a stronger team that week. Despite initial nervousness, they put in an outstanding performance, and Rachel was overjoyed with the results.
