Coolio 28, “Coolio”, is a 13-year-old gelding German Riding Pony. He is a Chestnut with two back white socks. Coolio is owned and ridden by Victoria Alexandris who rides with Britt McCormick out of Elmstead Farm in Parker, TX.
Though Victoria has only owned Coolio for a year, she had a hard time choosing her favorite memory to share with us as she already shares so many with him. Having to choose a favorite, Victoria shares that going to pony finals is at the top of her memory list with him because she was so nervous to even go in the ring. “I was freaking out and when I approached my first jump all I could think to myself was, “Oh my gosh…I’m gonna fall off!”, but he took me around the whole ring and he was such a good boy!” After that, the pair completed Victoria’s first Metal Finals together and Coolio was absolutely perfect.
Victoria found Coolio through her trainer, Britt McCormick, and the Alexandris Family has owned him now for a year and a half. Victoria shares that the first time she ever rode Coolio she thought to herself…where’s his power? He’s so slow! But his charm quickly grew on her as he is so incredibly caring and wanted to do everything correctly.
Coolio is as cool as a cucumber most days! He is such a kind-heart loveable pony and did I mention…loves to lick people! His treat of choice is applesauce!
Victoria has been riding her whole life but, but recently started showing about 3-4 years ago. Her favorite thing about owning and having horses is how unique each horse’s personality is.
