Chagull | 13 Year Old Quarter Horse | Cramer Quarter Horses
Chagull, Cole, is a 13 year old Quarter Horse Gelding owned by Helen. Cole lives at Cramer Quarter Horses in Needville,TX.
Cole is described as a DIVA. He thinks he is a lap dog and loves people. More than anything he loves to follow his owner Helen around. Her favorite quirk about him is when he is tired, she will stand in front of him so he can rest his head on her comforting shoulder as he falls sweetly into dream land.
Helen found Cole thanks to her trainer, Karen Kennedy, who had a connection that told her about him. ” We tried him out in Kentucky and I fell in love with him.” she states.
The harmony these two have is essential in the AQHA hunter ring. As the recognizable trainer, George Morris states, “If riding were only blue ribbons and bright lights than I would have quit a long time ago.” Helen and Cole enjoy winning ribbons but don’t neglect to recognize that it is about so much more. The hunter horse is a poem of perfection, the sport to mirror a classic painting. A horse judged on performance, soundness, suitability, conformation, and even manners. These horses are groomed to perfection in class to highlight their beauty over fences. And Cole is no exception of artistry.
Helen’s favorite memory with her beloved Cole is described, “Winning the Hunter Derby in Conyers, Georgia. It was amazing. Our first time together in the Olympic ring. Cole rose to the occasion and he felt better than he ever has. We rode up a hill and jumped a jump and then came down and did many more. He is such a special horse and I have never ridden in a derby before. We did tight equitation turns and I have never felt so confident. I will never forget walking out of the ring and realizing I won the non pro and the all around division. He is a once in a lifetime horse.”
