COHIBA MD | 9-YEAR-OLD HUNGARIAN WARMBLOOD | WELLINGTON, FL

Meet Cartman, the majestic 9-year-old Hungarian Warmblood known in the show ring as Cohiba MD. With a bay coat adorned with a unique white stripe and two white socks (front and hind left), Cartman is a striking figure at Homeward Farms, where he trains under the expert guidance of Lauren Eisele and Brandon Howard.

Kendall Harris, Cartman’s rider, has been leasing him since January after finding him in Wellington, Florida, near the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Kendall shares that the moment she sat on Cartman, she knew he was the one. “After trying many other horses, I knew Cartman was the one we were coming home with even before I trotted” she recalls.

One of Kendall’s favorite memories with Cartman is from their very first show together. Shortly after leasing him, they decided to stay a couple of extra days at WEF so Kendall could show Cartman. “I took Cartman in one hunter class, and it was absolutely amazing! My smile was huge, my trainers were extremely proud, and Cartman got all the pats and cookies!” she enthuses.

Cartman is not just a showstopper; he also has a fun personality. Known for slobbering a lot, he often flings slime everywhere while riding, adding a touch of humor to their sessions. Despite his size, Cartman is super sweet and often seems unaware of his own hugeness. His favorite treats are carrots, and he’s always excited to receive them.

Kendall started riding in May 2020 and has been hooked ever since. Besides Cartman, she also has another horse named Professor X, whom she has had since August 2021. Kendall loves the special bond she shares with her horses, describing it as one of the most rewarding aspects of being an equestrian.

While Cartman hasn’t yet achieved any major accolades, Kendall is confident in his potential and looks forward to many successful competitions in the future. She loves every moment spent with Cartman and is grateful for the opportunity to ride and learn from him.
