Chris Tresten | Faces of Pin Oak 2023

You can’t think about Pin Oak without thinking about all of the amazing people who have helped run this phenonemal show over the years. Chris has made an impact in the show that I can not even begin to describe. It is safe to say that the Pin Oak we know today is because of the hard work of the past board member like Chris.

Chris moved from the East Coast to Texas in the late 1980s, and it didn’t take long for the accomplished saddlebred competitor to become involved with the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show. Chris stepped into the role of Pin Oak president in 1999, and over the next 20 years, Chris continued to serve as president or chairman of the board alongside Lynn Walsh.

This last year, Chris has been a vital part of raising sponsorship funds and ensuring the bright future of the Saddlebred competition at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show. She also continues to show at Pin Oak and earns top accolades with her mounts, including RWC Forged in Fire.

In 2022, Forged in Fire added the RWC to his name after Tresten and the gelding claimed the Adult Three-Gaited Country Pleasure reserve world championship at the World’s Championship Horse Show in Kentucky.
