Cha-Ching “Skippy” | Texas Hunter Jumper Portraits

Cha-Ching, is owned by Avery and goes by “Skippy.” Skippy is an 8-year-old Belgian Warmblood. This handsome bay gelding is incredibly brave and loves carrots. They train with Kersten Levine at Esoteric Farm in Austin, TX.

Skippy is a bay gelding with a right hind sock, a star, and a snip. He is by Nabab de Reve and out of Padisha D’hees. Avery found him at TKO Sporthorses and at the time of Pin Oak had only had him 11 days! When she tried him out they jumped the biggest jump she’s ever jumped and he immediately helped build her confidence. He’s a brave horse that jumps where you point him, is curious about the hustle and bustle going on around him, and loves to cuddle.

He has the personality of a big puppy. He loves to follow Avery around in his pasture and eat things he shouldn’t from blankets to chewing on the golf cart!

Avery started riding at a horse camp when she was 5 and had her first pony by 6. She loves working with horses and figuring out what they need from her to have the best partnership they can.

During the 2021 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 140 Horses, Dogs, and even Goats, and was able to donate $10,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston. These are the stories of the Horses, Dogs, and Goats that were photographed at the show, these stories complement a photographic book that Karinda is printing and donating to Texas Children’s Hospital featuring Portraits of each and every animal she photographed.
